- Tune in at 9 am weekdays for three hours of Musica Nuevo Mexico y Mas with DJ Kelly Esparsen - Rancheros, Cumbias, Boleros, Nortenos, Corridos and more. Kelly is an experienced DJ, lover of the music you love, and a recent Placitan. We are happy he is continuing KUPR's commitment to its New Mexico music listeners.
- At noon Indigenous Brilliance with host Lyle Toledo Yazzie brings you both traditional and contemporary native music. Lyle has a special guest coming at 1 pm today - tune in.
- At 2 pm we will air The Main Stream from Native Voice One. Host Brett Maybee (Seneca) curates a program that explores the best recorded music of yesterday and today. Brett draws upon his love of all music to create the very best listening experience.
- 3:00 pm tune in for John McNerney's Early Daze is back playing classic Rock and Roll from the 60s through the 80s.
- Today at 5:00 pm Marty Tippens brings you his weekly Music of the Space Age and Beyond. Now on the air for two hours with an encore at midnight Saturdays.
- George Koinis hosts The Jazz Groove now from 7 pm until 9 pm. Enjoy mainstream, swing, Latin, fusion, blues and more.

- At 4 pm, the popular Pearls with host Sarah Lawndart. Eclectic doesn't begin to describe Sarah's taste in poetry, music and more. Good stuff.
- At 5 pm, long-time favorite Let's Get Creative airs. Larry Goodell starts the hour with some featured poetry, followed by music and interviews from Jerry Di.
- At 6 pm join us for an all new locally-produced show: Dinner Jazz and More with host Glenn Aparicio Parry. Enjoy jazz from the cool era of Miles Davis (50s and early 60s) the first hour gently moving to crossover artists like Bonnie Raitt in the second hour. Nothing loud - just enjoyable dinner music.
- At 8 pm we will encore the new Community Voices that airs Friday mornings at 8 am.
- At 9 pm enjoy an hour of Global Village: It’s New Month/New Music time in the Global Village. Each month, Global Village devotes an entire show to the best of recently released and forthcoming world music albums. Among the highlights this time: Two second volumes of ‘70s music from Africa – Leve Leve Vol. 2 from Sao Tome and Music for a Revolution Vol. 2 from Guinea; cross-cultural collaborations from the bands Crossing, Constantinople, and Hami Hamoo; new Nordic sounds from the debut album from Ragna; punk Mariachi from Mariachi El Bronx; and psychedelic Turkish folk rock from Amsterdam’s Altin Gun.

- At 9am Alonzo Lucero is live in the studio today with his selection of Rancheros, Cumbias, Boleros, Nortenos, Corridos and more. After 55 years on the air, Alonzo is moving toward retirement but loves his listening audience so much he just can't say goodbye. He will be live on Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.
- At noon tune in for Paul Ingles' Music Archives: (due to technical problems, this did not air last week as scheduled) Talk Music With Me: Author David Browne on Greenwich Village Music Scene - Music Archive Showcase. Host Paul Ingles talks with Rolling Stone Contributing Editor David Browne, author of Talkin' Greenwich Village: The Heady Rise and Slow Fall of America’s Bohemian Music Capital. Browne's 2024 book is considered the definitive history of the rise and heyday of the revolutionary Greenwich Village music scene, based on new research and first-hand interviews with many of its legendary performers. Browne picks a half dozen songs to help illustrate points he brings to the fore in his conversation with Paul.
- At 1 pm enjoy Sounds from the Mother Road from Public Radio Exchange. This week we are celebrating the moon in song. Sounds from the Mother is a weekly exploration of American Roots Music including, Western Swing, Rockabilly, Country, Bluegrass and Western from the last 70 years.
- At 2 pm DJ Sal Treppiedi hosts Sounds from the Superhighway for three hours.

- At 10 pm is our exclusively aired series "Stolen Moments" from the late Simon Barley. You will be treated to the best in acoustic modern jazz recorded between 1944 and 1969. Check out our talent page on the website to learn more about the amazing Simon Barley.
- At 7 am, enjoy an hour of music exclusively by New Mexico artists.
- At 8 am, enjoy Mike's House with host Michael Stovall will continue our Thursday morning tribute to New Mexico artists with interviews and live music. Mike returns with a 9-midnight time slot with more music and interviews with New Mexicans in the music business.
- At 9am KUPR tune in for Alonzo Lucero for more Musica Nuevo Mexico y Mas.
- Join us at noon for another KUPR exclusive, Stories with Montie. Montie will be returning weekly with another true story from New Mexico's past. Today enjoyan encore - The Best of Stories with Montie - Tolar Wiped Off the Map
- At 12:30 pm we will air Lore of the Land, a documentary series recorded, directed and produced by Jack Loeffler about Cultures in the Homeland. Today features the Hispanos.
- At 1 pm enjoy 10,000 Good Songs - Music Documentarian Paul Ingles shares some of the best from his multi-genre collection of tunes. Music you won't hear on commercial radio.
- At 3pm join Spinning Kenny G and the Mystery Hour.
- Dr. David Hoekenga's Harmonies from the Sandias airs at 6 pm, tonight's feature TBA.
- Night at the Opera has been retired after a long run. Join us now at 8 pm for an encore of Tim Trujillo's popular Straight No Chaser.
- At 10 pm: Searching for the First Rock and Roll Song where you will hear music from that time when rhythm and blues and rock and roll were emerging but hadn’t yet become a predictable formula. A time when musicians were listening to and incorporating these music’s exciting emergence into their own style of music – music that is difficult to categorize. Not a hits, oldies, or “history of” radio show. it’s all the songs that influenced our now-legendary musicians who are regularly featured in all those hits, oldies, and “history of” radio shows.

- At 8 am we continue Community Voices - a weekly offering of interviews, New Mexico musicians in concert recorded by KUPR and fire prevention information. This week share our conversation with Dr. Juliette Sweet, the Founder and Executive Director of Jemez Valley Community Wellness. In the coming weeks, Dr. Juliette will also be presenting the new, short feature on KUPR titled: “Wellness Tips with Dr. Juliette Sweet”.
- At 8:30 we will fit in a short version of Talking Circle before Jon Ghahate heads to Crow Canyon for some work. To be covered: Talking Circle NM Update: What's happening around Placitas and NM - NM legislative short session is done. Some important bills passed and are waiting to be signed by Governor Lujan-Grisham. laws that will affect just about everyone who
calls NM home. Around Placitas housing and developments could impact our Placitas community and scenic views. Commemorating International Women's Day, National Reading Day, and the first day of Spring with the Vernal Equinox. - At 9am, tune in for Fridays' Musica Nuevo Mexico y Mas with Otto in charge - selections from our library of your favorite New Mexico tunes.
- At noon, Tim Trujillo leads off at noon with Straight No Chaser, for two hours with an encore at 8 pm Thursdays. Check out Tim's sidekick Richard Warren on our Talent Page and on the air. He knows a lot about the music he selects.
- At 2 pm welcome to Indigenous in Music with Larry K. - This week Larry welcomes Kind of Sea, an exciting new Indigenous family project led by acclaimed musician and producer Marc Meriläinen, also known for his long-running work as Nadjiwan. Alongside his sons Fox and Cole, Kind of Sea blends 1980s grooves with modern electronic textures, creating music that’s dance-driven, and rooted in Indigenous futurism. Coming Soon: on March 20, the exciting new Life of a Dog on the Rez Radio show joins KUPR with host Michael Garcia. Read more about him on our talent page. Indigenous in Music will move to Mondays at 2 pm.
- At 3 pm join us for Peace Talks Radio, a series on peacemaking and nonviolent conflict resolution. Today we will air Songwriting to Heal Trauma. On her 2018 album project, "Rifles & Rosary Beads", singer/songwriter Mary Gauthier shares the stories of American veterans by writing the songs with them. Gauthier collaborated with the nonprofit "Songwriting With: Soldiers" to co-write the album's 11 tracks with veterans and their families.
- At 4 pm enjoy KUPR's Happy Hour with DJ Martian Tippens, host of Monday's Muic of the Space Age.
- At 7 pm it's an encore of Hindsight from Wednesday evening.
- At 9 pm - Michael Stovall with Mike on the Mike is live late Fridays at KUPR.
- At 7 am we kick off Saturday morning with Electric Bosque. DJ Sasquatch returns to the radio at KUPR, after a decade on the college radio station KCPR in San Luis Obispo, California, where he hosted a range of shows. He's excited to be back on the airwaves, sharing the music that tickles his ears in "Electric Bosque," a two-hour-long wander through electronic music new and old.
- Saturday morning at 9 am join us for a two-hour KUPR unique venture into the world of music. Patrick Vander Wyden hosts Hidden Gems of the 21st Century: Great music missing from commercial radio. Patrick harvests rain water for the station, is working on our planned solar power backup and is a member of the managing council. On Saturday mornings he introduces you to music he enjoys, but is missing from the playlists of most radio stations.
- Join us at 11 for Whiskey in the Jar, old time fiddle and traditional Irish music with host Marc Robert. Marc has been a fixture on the Placitas music scene for years, playing banjo, guitar and acoustic bass. He’s part of the Virginia Creepers, a local old time band, and also plays with his son Michel as Littlefoot (also old time) and with fiddler Eileen Sullivan as Far From Home (traditional Irish music). Whiskey in the Jar is two hours now.
- At noon Bill Honker returns with Home Again, recorded in Colorado for KUPR.
- At 1 pm host Beyond Words with Blaze Defiant airs in a new time slot. Enjoy music, poetry and all sorts of spoken word.
- Next up at 2 pm is Saturday Afternoon Freeform with Jerry D featuring Americana, Bluegrass, and Jambands, just to name a few.
- Bobbi Bell's OutWest Hour comes on at 4 PM- music, poetry, prose, Western, Western Swing, Cowboy Country and more.
- At 5 pm is an exotica jazz show - The Enchanted Tiki Hut with hosts Kitty and Mr. C. This show is another unique KUPR offering!
- At 7 pm we are excited to bring you another unique, locally produced show - The Lounge with host Nick Upton. Nick joined KUPR after a 45-year career in radio.
- Then at 8 pm, enjoy an encore of Music of the Space Age hosted by Marty Tippens (the Martian), a great show airing live on Mondays.
- Hours 4 and 5 of The Main Stream run from 8 to 10 pm.
- At 7 am, another new show - Classical Guitar Alive! This week's edition of CLASSICAL GUITAR ALIVE! features an encore of Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata,” Music by Barrios Mangoré, Philip Glass, John Williams, Paul Simon, Corbetta, Interview: Dr. Robert Fine, MD:
- Sunday Morning with Ken Grimes and Lynn Kaskela begins at 9am for a Morning Blend of mostly mellow music to begin your Sunday.
- Ken is followed by Mandolin Magic with host George Koinis at 11, one hour of music featuring some of the world's finest mandolinists playing solo, in duets, with ensembles, and with orchestras.
- Katie Stone's award-winning show The Children's Hour -Do Something. On this episode of The Children's Hour, The Kids Crew talks with trainers from Right To Be, an organization that teaches people how to respond to harassment in safe and thoughtful ways. Through clear examples, simple exercises, and music about empathy and courage, kids learn the Five Ds of bystander intervention and discover that even small actions can help others feel supported and less alone.
- From 1-4 pm. DJ Ken Ward is on the air with “Tombstone Every Mile” for vintage honky-tonk and bluegrass, truckin’ songs, western swing and cowboy classics, gospel quartets, and the occasional old-time string band tune. Ken is on for three hours now.
- At 4 pm we air a three-hour KUPR exclusive: Women's Voices - Hour 1 is The Voice with Pam D, featuring a different theme each show. At 5 PM is singer/songwriter Anna Rudolph and Chasing the Muse. Then, at 6 pm, Women in Jazz joins the Women's Voices lineup, hosted by George Koinis.
- At 7 pm we hope you are enjoying another locally produced show, Stage & Screen. Stage & Screen is all about celebrating musicals with innovative weekly themes with host Keith Allen West.
- At 8 pm enjoy Old Time Radio Theater with host Ken Jones. You’ll hear radio versions of two films from the pen of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo: A Man to Remember (1942) starring LionelL Barrymore, Anita Louise and Glenn Ford and Tender Comrade (1945) starring Olivia de Havilland and Dennis O'Keefe. Then the following week we’ll be featuring the lovely voice of actress Patricia Morison in a variety of unique radio broadcasts.
