Original acoustic music at the crossroads of Roots and Bluegrass from the wide open spaces of New Mexico. The Hard Road Trio features three distinctive voices blending into an original sound (Anne Luna-bass and vocals; Steve Smith-mandolin, vocals and octave mando; Chris Sanders-guitar and vocals). Based in New Mexico, the Trio has toured the US for over eleven years, has won New Mexico Music Awards and been played on radio stations across the country.

Desert Mountain String Band includes two KUPR DJs - Dr. Slide and Bill Honker, outstanding musicians and KUPR supporters and Steff Chanat (mandolin, guitar, vocals).
