 Maryse Lapierre, singer-songwriter, accordionist

Alicia Ultran, singer-songwriter, guitarist, violist

Micky Patten, bassist and guitarist

Come early and enjoy a french themed menu and wine and a chance to bid in a silent auction that includes jewelry, handcrafted charcuterie boards, Canyon Blues & Jazz season pass and a two-day stay for four at The Birdhouse in Taos.
Albuquerque’s award-winning Indie Folk Français duo features singer-songwriter, guitarist, violist Alicia Ultan and singer-songwriter, accordionist Maryse Lapierre, who hails from Quebec, Canada. The group combines Lapierre’s French influences with Ultan’s original folk inspired “art” songs into a unique and engaging repertoire that highlights their signature harmonies. Adding to their already richly textured music is Micky Patten, an in-demand bassist and guitarist.

Bébé La La earned three New Mexico Music Award nominations and two awards for their debut release, High Wire, which was described by music and art writer James Mahoney as: “Wild—Alternative—Magic!” Three of the songs from their 2022 release,  A Curious Series of Unexpected Events, were nominated for NM Music Awards last year, including Ultan’s song “Rosie” which won a Singer-Songwriter
award (listen below) and just this April, the CD received four more NM Music Award nominations!

They will have their CDs and French/English lyric books available for purchase at the concert.
