Low Power FM radio stations are an important part of the communities they serve. KUPR is the only public radio station located in Sandoval County and has been on the air since May 4, 2015. In a town where creativity flows freely, KUPR was founded on the principal of promoting culture and connection. This nonprofit, community-supported, volunteer powered, freeform radio station is more than just a radio station — it’s a reflection of our listening area which is diverse and historic. From its humble beginnings in a small office provided by San Antonio de las Huertas Land Grant to our very own mobile office next door - with a coffee bar, meeting area, broadcast studio and recording studio ... our mission of "connecting communities" continues to expand.
Below you will find an archive of community voices that we have aired on a variety of topics. We are committed to sharing local stories, covering important issues like wildfire prevention, supporting independent artists and connecting our diverse communities. When we record on air interviews and meetings of community importance, we will post the audio files here.
